Lead Copywriter

As Lead Copywriter for F.O.O.D. International, he is responsible for all outgoing messaging, content development and maintenance.

Being one of the few day-one members of the AMPHBNS who did not reside in DC or attend Duke Ellington, Phil was still warmly welcomed by his fellow creatives and thrived. He graduated from Howard University with a Master’s in Organizational Communications and Bowie State University with a degree in Journalism. Philip has a background in publishing, public education, and editorial coordination. Outside of those areas, he has remained a committed producer, with instrumental releases from the beginning of the pandemic like “Curbside Pickup.” Most notably, Philip contributed his voice and pen to the narration and script of “Fresh Convos: A D.C. Hip-Hop Oral History,” a mini-documentary produced by Khalil D’Jamaal and Shatungwa Juma in 2021.
